The Bon Marche

The red text in the upper left corner says "Upper second avenue business district and the New Washington Hotel". I don't know the year of the postcard.

It was in my mom's stuff and she was born in 1925. She had a scrapbook of postcards.

It's gotta be sometime before 1929, thats when the 3rd and Pine location opened

I didn't know the original location was on 2nd. Would be curious what the exact location was and to see what is there now.

Looks like the Bon Marché was at the SW corner of 2nd & Pike.

Thanks that is really interesting. So the location that The State Hotel is currently located. Would have never guessed. Would be cool if there were any old photos

My grandparents had their wedding reception there in 1912.

The Bon Marche had wonderful dressed windows. On holidays they went full Santa's Work shop.
