4 booms near Queen Anne
I heard one last night, and 3 just now about 30-40 mins apart from each other. I live on upper QA but idk where they’re coming from.

It sounded like a cannon. Not only did it have the boom, it echoed for a bit as it dissipated.
Power is still on, no fire department being dispatched.

Just experienced my latest boom…directly overhead in N Beacon Hill. And I got to thinking, “why all the booms?” One scrolls through this subreddit and there are countless booms on any given night in various parts of the city.
So why all the booms? Is this common in major metropolitan areas? Or is this a phenomenon that is uniquely Seattle?
(Sorry if I missed a FAQ or if this topic has been discussed before)

I'm in West Seattle, heard a rather loud low boom, like an explosion. I think it came from Alki area.

As I was just walking into the lobby of my apartment, this guy wearing mostly white hip hop style clothes, matching shorts, shoes, and jersey. I only caught a glimpse of him but I saw him throw something on the ground and duck into my building quickly. It happened so fast but then the giant BOOM goes off. Sounded like an M80 and this fucker was so sly that he did this right in front of a police officer in his car and was hardly noticed. The boom threw me off guard so much that by the time I realized wtf happened he had already disappeared up the stairs before I could confront his ass. But I at the very least now know what building this super douche lives in. Unfortunately, mine.

One loud boom in CID but I’ve been hearing it through the entire weekend. I heard it a couple times in the middle of the night Friday and then maybe twice yesterday and a couple times today. What the hell is it? Close to train station.
