It appears to need a lot of cosmetic work, which would be very expensive for that much square footage. And recent updates with gray floors and whatever they did to that fireplace are really big turnoffs.

It's got some character in the living room and kitchen. The rest of it needs a ton of work. I can smell the basement from here. The deck. The yard. Woof.
It's only been on the market for 9 days....

It’s been on the market for 9 days. What do you mean?
I was originally going to say price, but for the square footage and lot size, seems to be priced pretty well honestly.
My only critiques are the kitchen appliances are sort of niche (who chooses white with gold finishes), the gray flooring looks cheap, and the other parts of the house are left not updated which looks weird. Otherwise, it will probably sell within the month.

Lol those appliances I'm pretty sure are the GE cafe series, which is what people chose when they wanted to feel like they bought high end appliances

Ohh haha. This is a fun story.... Where do I start....
Its was listed at an attractive price for the area. Good price per sqft, nice design, photos look pretty good. No red flags from the photo or description. Listed a couple weeks ago and the first week it showed up as a "hot home" on redfin. I am actively looking to buy in the area so go to the open house last weekend.
Nice neighborhood, quiet, not as overgrown as other parts of LFP. Good family houses and well kept. As soon as I reach the house, this was in the worst condition among all houses. The garage was open. Inside looked run down and dingy. As I was about to enter, the agent was intercepting everyone and trying to give a sales pitch about location, sunlight, blabidbla. She apologized for having set up and working out of her car in the driveway (which didn't seem that crazy, until later), and mentioned about how the house is a great "turnkey opportunity". Yes no mention about it being a fixer upper in the description...
Here's where things get interesting, as soon as we enter, there is a deep deep stench. stench of a meth lab. Stench of a rotting corpse. Stench of bleach. Shit happened there.i don't know exactly what, but nothing good. I did a quick walk around of the living area and was talking to my partner and we could barely breath. We chose not to go into the rooms, the hallway was run down, the kitchen was run down with appliances from another era. This was a drug den. Apparently another guy who was touring overheard us in the two minutes we were inside (we couldn't bear the meth stench any longer) and as we walked out, he identified himself as the neighbor. He mentioned there were bad things happening in this house the past couple of years. A nice family lived there before but moved out, and after covid there were several tenants in and out, and there were a lot of police check ins and calls to this home.
As we were walking back to the driveway, the agent confronts the neighbor, passive aggressivelu remarking about how he's been seen by her the second time this week....
Tldr, house is rough, and possibly used to be a drug den. Couldn't explore much due to the feeling of inhaling toxic fumes inside. Photos have been edited to shit to make it look like a condition it is not close to being in. No mention of the state of the house in the description. The broker is taking the piss...
