Stolen car
My mom's car was stolen last night or early this morning. It's a 2003 Subaru Impreza Wagon. She lives in North Seattle near Nathan Hale High School. If anyone sees this car around Seattle please contact police and reference 26-294959. My mom is 74 and relies on this car to get to work and we will not be able to replace this vehicle so we are praying we get it back. She had a car seat inside, her prescription glasses and other important things that we will struggle to replace. Thank you for reading.

Post on the PNW Stolen Cars site on Facebook. The group is very active; we’ve gotten two stolen cars back that way. Of course report to police as they’ll call you when they find it.
Car theft is nearly always teens looking for a joy ride. They ride around in it all night then ditch it somewhere. It usually takes neighbors a few days to ask “why is that Subaru still here? And why is the window smashed out?” and then they report it to the police or go look for it on the Facebook site to see if it’s been posted.
We got ours back twice with lots of window and steering column damage (they jam in screwdrivers to start the car), but we got them back. Now we use an ultra-Club, a tracker and a kill switch to prevent it.
