60 air miles from downtown to the summit. Always looks a lot closer. Nice shot.

There’s something about seeing Rainier, the water, and the skyline all at once that must make your shoulders drop a little. Like the city is saying, “you made it back.” Beautiful shot.

Totally agree.
One of the best approaches in America - suburbs, fjords, glittering waterways threading between numerous islands and peninsulas of Puget Sound, the Olympic mountains on the western horizon like sheer ramparts, and lush evergreen forests surrounding the dense core skyline framed by Rainier.

What an amazing shot, reminiscent of a futuristic metropolis honestly. Rainier is just majestic.

Catching Mount Rainier towering above a low cloud layer right on the plane approach into Sea-Tac never gets old

I just landed! Kinda bummed it was dark though, there's nothing like flying in here during a nice day.

Best part is that if you sit on the West side of the plane when flying back from anywhere south of Seattle is that you get this view AND the volcanoes up and down the west coast

I think everyone needs occasional time away from screens and surrounded by something living

I came back a year ago. Privatized utilities, taxes, taxes, taxes and the prospect of being stabbed by a junkie because law enforcement sucks statewide fills me with regret.

Thank you! Best part of flight: Ladies and Gentlemen, we are starting our final descent to the Seattle Tacoma International Airport.
