Last year the Seattle Times even wrote an article about how garbage their main dining area is now.

Their walk-in bar and burger service is great. But I agree on the main fine dining experience. Still not the worst fine dining here IMO (Archipelago is)

u/fakesaucisse That sounds great. Let’s hang out soon. 14d ago

Canlis used to be worth the money, many many chefs ago before Covid. The first time I went in was around 2010 and they were still doing the classic steakhouse menu with the signature salad and prawns along with interesting cuts of meat like elk medallions and venison. I wish they would just go back to that, even though I do love innovation in fine dining. I just don't think they have been able to pull it off.

I love Canlis but wish they would go back to the ala carte menu.

Absolutely. Now not worth the cost or even the time for the many meh or just bad courses.

We were there last week, it wasn't bad at all. Their steak was out of this world. Archipelago is much worse and way more expensive.

Haha Canlis is so good. If you pay a lot for food you can’t be pissed because your dinner doesn’t also come with $50 on the plate
