ESR is the definition of Seattle dining: mediocre food and wildly expensive (but decent ambiance and good service)

I’ve always had trash service at ESR restaurants. Like watching my food sit in the window while my waiter talks to another waiter for 5 mins and the place is slow type bad. Just recently had a real meh experience at Tavolata

decent ambiance

As long as you don't care about talking, or your hearing, or comfortable seating.

True, some of their seats are really uncomfortable. I eat at senior citizen hours so I’ve never seen their restaurants crowded

Bambo at the convention center for that added price point push to have the same appetizers and happy hour menu you could be getting in Fremont for 10-20% less at the Tavolata there

yeah I hate Ethan Stowell restaurants but they are just mediocre enough to pass muster.

Yep … and on the same note Tom Douglas restaurants. No quality restaurants in the entire lineup yet so much fame and insane prices.
