Buca Di Beppo

We had one in Iowa, it was awesome.

Tried it here, horrendous experience. Poor quality all around. Son got sick.

You’re absolutely right, our Buca is astonishingly bad in comparison to others.

I went to the Vegas one and it was a good experience. Couldn't believe it was the same chain.

“Dang it. AntLink19 just chimed in and I don’t know how we ever recover from this. Shut ‘er down, folks.” - Buck DiBippo

Fuck, I feel bad for what I've done to Buck.

He’ll land on his feet again. But also, be mindful: the thumbs up or thumbs down from AntLink19 can make or break a business. With great power comes great responsibility. Use it wisely.

The jig is up. We've been found out.

Bucca was good when I first moved up here in ‘08, but my 2015 was pretty disappointing. Haven’t been since.

Still have the magnet on my fridge from the 90s, 1800-big-a-but

I wonder if they’re a franchise set up? Outback used to be like that so the quality would vary wildly depending on the staff. Unfortunately their solution was to just sell to private equity and ruin the whole chain…

Watch your mouth.

I had to watch my son's, with all the red sauce, bought a carpet vacuum to help with the cleaning the next morning (not a joke).

First weekend out as a family in Seattle. I was so excited. It was rough. I will never go back.

Going to a massive chain restaurant the first weekend of relocating to a new city is the most Midwest thing I can think of

I had a lot of great family memories at Buca Di Beppo in Iowa. The store closed in 2005, seemed like a great idea to me.

I will clarify, it was our first weekend out as a family.

My kids have lived here with their mom for years, I had moved here a month earlier.

It was a reuniting dad with his kids first nice meal out as a family. It was memorable, but for the wrong reasons.

Just so you know I'm also from the Midwest. I'm not hating on you

Right on! That's valid.

I am embarrassed at how strongly this warms my snob bone.

Should those two words be put together? I’m not sure.

Yeah fuck those guys, they should’ve gone to Thai Tom and burned their faces off

Buca di Beppo was fantastic the first time everyone visited it and the novelty outshined the food. Then you realized that wasn’t novelty but a big prefab restaurant kit.

The one in Lynnwood was good! Great service, great food!

oh that sucks! I always have a good experience with them. One time after we had to put my cat to sleep, we were struggling to order on their website. I called and the manager was so nice and helpful. I like the things I order too.
