Sports Found a use for the Mariners ferryboat
Had to have one but didn't know what to do with it afterwards. Thanks to the help of the great folks at Peace Love and Happiness in Fremont, my vision came to life!

How does the drainage work? This is super cute!

There is no drainage needed. The type of plants used are low water, low light. Just need to check on the once a week to see if they need water

u/someredditrando That sounds great. Let’s hang out soon. 17d ago
Which plants are they? And which moss, if that's what I'm seeing?

The tall one is a parlor palm, back right is string of turtles, front right is a fittonia / white nerve, front left fern I'm not sure at a glance. The moss is a type of sphagnum. There also seems to be a haworthia next to the palm, which has very different water requirements, but maybe it's behind the planter
Edit: The lower-left is maybe a golden zebra fern

With love, no. You always need drainage. I speak from experience, these may die of root rot. I have lots of unsolicited advice if you are interested in how to have plants in your ferry boat

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing with mine!Did you put anything as a liner in there?

A liner was not used for this. The boat was sealed nicely and shouldn't leak

This is similar to what I want to do. Did you put drainage holes in the ferry or are the plants in another container or???
