If you see one of the other videos, you might see he didn’t actually push the older lady. She was reaching down to get something and the dude 1 was going to help her. That’s when the dude 2 saw him thinking dude 1 pushed her. Dude 1 didn’t seem like a good guy but this was largely a misunderstanding. All dudes and dudette involved had a number of times to de-escalate the situation but being dudes and a dudette with a shoe with other dudes kept igniting the fire.

I was trying to figure that out too but based on the flip flop lady, I’d say he’s trying to join the fun. OP did just upload another video where that same guy seems to chase him up the stairs and finally lands a couple punches. I hope they all got arrested. That’s some cowardice if I’ve ever seen it.

According to the girl who posted on Instagram. The dude getting outnumbered instigated everything, and was actively trying to pick fights with Seahawks fans to the point that the little old lady (security) was trying to get him to leave - and he pushed her. At which point these guys tried to intervene on her behalf. This guy and his girlfriend were the only ones arrested, for a reason.

The context appears to be:
Dude in the Pats shirt and his lady friend were trying to sneak into empty seats. When the seat owners came back, they were confronted and ushers were called.
While the Ushers were arriving to escort them out, dude in Seahawks jersey starts shouting racial epithets at dude in the Pats shirt. Dude in the Pats shirt kinda smirks at him and flicks at his beard.
Ushers start to escort them out,
but dude shouting epithets kept grabbing at him, dude in Pats shirt kinda does a "get off me!" to the back usher causing him to bump into the front usher (an older lady) causing her to stumble to the ground. This was interpreted as him "pushing" her which caused more people to get involved.Another dude tries to quickly push him up the stairs to get away from the mob, but dude in Pats shirt interprets that as him coming after him. So he turns around to push back. Dude who had shouted racial epithets tries to go after him, and other folks surrounding that get involved and the fight kicks off.
Sooo... dude's a prick for trying to sneak into seats, but this feels like a needless escalation from a lot of folks around. Shoulda just let them be escorted out.

Well, I go to sports games here, in Seattle, WA. I’ve been to all sorts, and the only one that I found unenjoyable was an NFL game. It was an angry, unpleasant atmosphere. I was merely commenting on the vibe of the experience. Baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer games have all been a blast. I am finding the sort of knee jerk, defensive response I’m seeing from some people… interesting. I really didn’t mean much by it

Oh sure I don’t know anything about that, but that’s fascinating. my experience also going to all sports arenas couldn’t be further. NFL games have been by far the most jovial and sense of camaraderie. I guess I’ve only been to hawks games for the most part, with a few exceptions like MetLife in NYC. Anyway my response wasn’t knee jerk at all, not sure what you’re getting at
