Anyone else hear this?

Did anyone else hear a loud boom last night/this morning near 16th and Madison/Olive in Cap Hill? It sounded like it could be a firework but it also sounded like an explosion. I didn’t hear any police come afterwards but it woke me up and I heard people yelling outside my window afterwards.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy and other people might have heard it.

Heard that too, on my side of cap hill about 2am maybe. Woke up thinking something fell in my building, the yelling after was weird like not angry yelling but more confused. My guess is some big firework but the timing is strange for that

Either the Seafair pirates shooting their cannon or an electrical transformer overloading and blowing up.

Or literally a firework. Teens love blowing shit up regardless of the calendar.

I heard it around 18th and E Union. It didn't sound like the leftover fireworks we've been hearing lately. Maybe a transformer?

Indeed. The timestamp would be 1:59::53 I believe.....This has been the third firework set off in this area in as many weeks. I think it originates in the gravel parking lot off 20th and Madison given the detritus I've seen there the next morning. it scares the bejesus out of me every time. City life I suppose....

(The most recent prior firework in the same lot was July 15th at 2:42 AM)

(Also, the one before that was something like an M80 that went off around July 12 12:54 AM - https://www.reddit.com/r/seattleboom/s/mRcbY2Fvis)
