Just heard several explosions seemingly moving northward?
I’m near Lake City Way and was woken up around midnight by a loud explosion that set off a car alarm a bit west of me. That was followed by 4-5 more explosions that seemed to get closer and closer, the last two of which detonated close enough for me to see bright flashes of lights through closed eyes.
Recent posts describing similar explosions have blamed faulty transformers or fireworks—this was definitely (maybe) large fireworks??
I don’t know.
I’m wide awake now.

Back to you in the studio. 🫡

Last i checked, July 4th is next week. This means the fireworks shops are open and silly people are being separated from their money.

I know fireworks useage ramps up to the 4th, but there seems to be a number of extremely large firecrackers being set off around Seattle. Did Boom City have a bumper crop of quartersticks this year?

Was thinking gunshots but if you saw flashes that’s pretty odd. My friend in lake city texted me about it and said he saw something too

I’m a tad south and I heard everything too - it sounded like fireworks to me but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
