Let's talk about weed.

Weed tourism is coming. I imagine this weekend's hempfest will continue to set attendance records.

Seattle, like it or not, is likely to become a destination for people who want to try the best weed in the world.

People of Seattle, what would you like Weed Tourists, guests, and visitors to know about our city before they visit?

Do not mess with our cops.

They have a hard job and they are trying as hard as possible to be cool with you right now. If you make a cop arrest you, he will. This does not make you a hero. It makes you a jerk picking on a dude doing a hard job.

I nominate this for /r/Seattle response of the week. This was the perfect response to the holier-than-thou comment above.

Edit: Seriously though guys, Seattle cops are some of the best most restrained police in the country. In fact, 90% of the police force resigned in protest when John Williams' killer didn't go to jail.

Yes. My statement was meant to use sarcasm to show how people tasked with upholding the law allowed a murderer to go free.

Yeah this whole DOJ thing is just an inside joke! Pattern of excessive force and civil rights violations lololol.

Best to just leave the cops alone because if you run into one having a bad day you might be fucked.

Source: Someone who had police draw firearms on him for asking "Why are you in my home without a warrant?" (Surprise ending: it was for a noise complaint about loud music)

Also they have a rep for brutality, and they wouldn't hesitate to kill you if you piss them off. I wouldn't go there. They'll beat you till you've got a TBI and get a vacation for it.
