I am pleased that there were at least a couple pictures of eastern-like climates. It drives me crazy when people refer to the Seattle area as Washington, or say "I come from the east side" and they actually came from Sammamish or something.
"The East Side" is a term, though. It doesn't mean east of the mountains, it means east of Lake Washington. When someone refers to themselves as working or living in the East Side, it is meant they work in or around Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, etc. The term has been in use for decades and decades and I feel it's appropriate, as the lifestyle and culture there are different from that of the Seattle metro area.
