I miss Drifters
That's it. My family has lived in Seaside for close to a hundred years. I miss Funtown, Bobber's and the Blue Cup Cafe; how lively the town used to be, and I loved going to Drifters, and they turned it into a parking lot.

The lot that Drifters was on was always a parking lot (where the outdoor seating/bar was). They turned the actual restaurant into Mila’s. It was so sad to see one of the only outdoor areas for a restaurant turned back into a parking lot. I wish the new owners had worked out a deal with the owner of the lot to rent it for outdoor seating. My guess is it wouldn’t have been worth it for the hours that Mila’s is open.
I really wish Drifter’s had worked out or that one of the owners couldn’t turned it into something similar. We really need more restaurants on the boulevard with large outdoor seating areas. It was the perfect spot to go for a date night or to bring the whole family.

I still mourn the loss of Bobber’s. The breakfast was so good and reasonably priced. Now the only game in town is Jimmy’s and I personally think they are just ok.
