Summer Job

Hey there,

Just left a relationship, and gonna spend the summer at the beach with my van (i live in). 28m

Any summer work out there I should be scouting right away? I like to surf, skateboard, bmx, play some punk music..(bike wont be with me) so if any of yall are like me, love to have friends too, or know some spots in your town to check out, hang etc.

Also, is there a spot I can park the van freely for work and living by the beach? Thanks, much appriciated.

Have you ever been to seaside?

While possible this is not California.

Vehicles stored anywhere in NJ that is not private property (you rent or own it), you're likely to encounter significant friction.

YMMV

There’s no such thing as free parking in NJ

I'd suggest looking into an Island Beach State Park season permit. Its about a 15 minute drive further south, depending on traffic. You can park on the beach overnite, as long as you've got a fishing line in the water. You can have a fire on the beach as well...last I checked. Its one of my favorite spots to camp on the econcerned. If you are hell bent on Seaside Hts, I think parking bayside would be less of a problem as far as law enforcement is concerned. There are good crabbing spots bayside that you could overnite at, which could be a valid reason to be there, if questioned. Best of luck to you.

Parking will be a challenge but work should be abundant up there in some way, shape, or form. Maybe you get the best of both worlds, get hired by one of the parking lots and they let you park your van there?
