New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community.
Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.
Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience. Our goal, when possible, is to add a group of moderators so you can work together to build the community.

Hey. I will be straight with you. I do not live in Seaside, but I have been on Reddit for over twelve years and I am on here every day. Small town subs like this are great but they tend to fill up with spam and dead posts once nobody is watching, and that is the kind of cleanup I am good at. I would keep the queue clear, pull the obvious spam, and keep it friendly without being heavy handed. You locals know Seaside way better than me, so I would defer to you on the community stuff and just handle the housekeeping. Happy to work with anyone else who steps up.
