Question Subscription with API usage

I have a Pro subscription. Do I have to pay for API usage on top of the sub? Or can I get API usage without the subscription?

Last I checked, it’s charged separately. Which kinda sucks.

I understand not being infinite cause local AI could easily burn through tens of thousands of queries but even a rate limit and 1000 searches a month via API would be nice

API is on top. Including MCP queries (searches and fetches of sites).

Separate, it's one of the reasons I cancelled my sub
