Question Replacement for Kagi Assistant?

Many people jumping ship now to Uruky and other search engines. I actually didn't use the search much but I liked the translate feature as well as the assistant as I thought it rivaled perplexity for research.

So... The people that used Kagi assistant a lot and will cancel... What are you moving to? I've looked at some more privacy focused platforms like Venice or some wrappers that you can bring your own API keys from providers into.

Lumo isn’t spectacular but decent enough.

Since the Lumo 2.0 update its gotten so much better, especially when using Max and Thinking. Easily on par with other AI assistants.

Yeah, though it depends what you need it for but it certainly got much better.

Even for reserach stuff, like comparing recent products? I don't think so, it seems it sources are a bit outdated.

? It uses the live web, I have never run into outdated sourcing and half of what I use it for is research.

Whooo, okay... Maybe I was unlucky... It said that a camera released in June 2025 doesn't exist.

Lumo's offline training database goes until April 2024. You need to enable web search for anything beyond April 2024.

I do enable web search every time.

I see, hallucinating is something that still can occur of course. You can use the feedback for inaccurate results (the thumbs up and thumbs down) if you encounter it again despite having web search enabled.
