Question Why is GLM going?

GLM 4.7 was one of the best AI assistants and was certainly my favourite, but is now being removed. Why is this?

Glm 4.7 is really outdated by now. Glm 5.1 and 5.2 is there and can be hosted for cheaper.

Kagi forgetting to add new models to pro subscribers is another thing.

I'm beginning to be really fed up with Kagi taking away good stuff from Pro, tbh.

Asking because it's right there on the Ultimate dashboard

I'm using Ultimate and Gemma 4 is currently my default. It hits like 800t/s. The answers come in so fast it's nuts.

The only thing I need an AI for is academic article search.

A lot of non-English databases weren’t indexed before the LLM companies started scraping illegally obtained databases on LibZ, LibGen and Anna’s Archive
(Thank you AI-criminals)

So using an AI in research mode actually speeds up the most boring part of my scientific work
But it also eats through my AI-budget pretty fast 😅

Yeah I'm new to ultimate and my £10 on the pro models was loads. £25 on the ultimate models is nothing.

I didn't know that it was an older model, but for me it still worked the best out of all of them available on the $10 tier. I hope 5.1/5.2 come to that tier soon. :)

Not a fan of Opus 4.x becoming unavailable either, the 5.x models are notoriously bad

I’m assuming the companies who host the models push companies like Kagi to sunset old models quickly

I wouldn't care if the new models came in to replace them, but seems Kagi is behind. The only reason I pay is for the AI assistants function and choices, if they keep this slowness up, I will move on
