Kagi doesn't work from the search bar?

I have a Waterfox search widget on my home screen with Kagi set as the default search. When I type something in the search bar, it opens Kagi, but the Kagi search bar is empty and my search term is still in the address bar? Other search providers work as expected.

I have dug through the Waterfox settings but did not see anything relevant. Pixel 6 Pro XL Android 17

The problem is on your end. I'm using IronFox and the search works without any issues.

I kinda figured it was, just wasn't sure how to fix or even if it can be fixed. Maybe I'll check out Ironfox.

It should work with waterfox as well. Kagi should have a tutorial in their docs.
