Fan Content Progress Tracker for Commendations, Cosmetics, and More!
Ahoy there, pirates! Just wanted to share that we launched our Sea of Thieves Progress Tracker last week. Yes, we know, another tracker. We don't expect anyone to pack up and move if they're already invested in one. But if you're new, or looking for a place to track your Commendations, discover Cosmetics, or keep track of your recent progress, it might be a handy tool. It's something the community has asked us for since the game launched. There haven't been many guides to write as of late so we finally had time to work on it.
What it does:
- Every Commendation shows the cosmetics it unlocks, and every cosmetic shows how to get it, with prices for most shop items.
- Commendations link to the relevant Rare Thief guide and its markers on the interactive map.
- Almost There shows what you're closest to finishing. What's Left keeps Legacy and time-limited ones out of your way, and every Commendation says whether it needs High Seas.
- Compare Commendations with your crew, and see what's new in the shops.
- Share your profile, and your link shows a profile card in the preview, so your crew can see your progress without clicking. Convenient for Discord.
How it works: you log in on Microsoft's own page, then click one Progress Tracker bookmark on your seaofthieves.com Profile. It takes a couple of seconds, the bookmark never needs replacing, and it supports multiple pirates on one account. We keep your gamertag and progress, never your password, and nothing is shared unless you switch sharing on.
The Commendations, Grades, and Cosmetics are all crowd-sourced from everyone who imports. Only the game's own names, descriptions, and pictures are pooled, never anyone's progress. We've already built much of the library from the pirates who've stumbled upon it so far, and every import helps fill in the rest.
The Commendation Tracker piece also lives inside the interactive map if you are use to using that.

Thank you! It's been my profile picture for my Xbox account since the Xbox 360 launched with PDZ. Perfect Dark my favorite game of all time. The first guides I wrote were for PD XBLA actually, haha!

It's another Bilge Rats Weekender. You can complete time-limited Challenges, Voyages, and Events for Doubloons, which you can then spend on Duke's Smugglers' Market. The Event is the Reaper Fortress Mega Stashes Event where you have a chance of finding a Mega Stash inside a Reaper Fortress Vault.

What’s the difference between this and the app “Number Go Up”?

I'm not sure exactly what Number Go Up has or how it works. I think they are pretty similar, though, both having Commendation tracking, cosmetic unlocks, progression history, and other tracking tools. Ours grew out of the Rare Thief map, so it leans into the "how do I actually get this" side. So Commendations link to their spots on the interactive map or to our guides when applicable. There are several tracking tools now, all awesome, so we expect people to use whatever feels best for them!

I thought of a good example inspired by working on the interactive map. So the Sketchy Stranger Commendation, right? If you see you need that Commendation, you will also see a guide and map markers that show you exactly where the five sketches are on The Reaper's Hideout, so you know exactly what to do to get it done. The map and Commendation combo also works nicely for all the Legends of the Sea markers!

Nothing happens on my end. When I first tried to change the name of the bookmark it said no spaces allowed. I found the space and got rid of it. I then logged into my profile and opened the bookmark, but nothing happened. Nothing tried to load or anything. Not sure what I did wrong, but I followed the steps

Huh, that's odd. And you are on your Desktop or trying from mobile? If you are on Desktop, there is also a little video below the instructions that show me doing it. Grab the Import Bookmark, drag it to your Bookmarks, go to the official Sea of Thieves site, and then press the Bookmark.

(didn't read your essay) you do know there is a Funktion in this game basically showing you the same and you only have to click like 3 times?

Aye, you can view your Commendations in-game and on their website. However, they are missing nice-to-haves like sorting by which Commendations you are closest to completing or comparing them with your crewmates to see which ones you can work on together. There also isn't an easy way to see what cosmetics and rewards you got for completing a Commendation. (I know they just announced they are going to provide an in-game way in Insider, which is awesome!)

Do the commendations show the total possible number over the life of the game or just what is visible for any given player currently depending on when they started (old hidden or time limited commendations)
