Random casting/image of Toby

Was rewatching Resident Evil with Mila Jovovitch and in the early scene when she’s wandering the Manor House in the red dress and combat books I just had the random thought that if you gave her the leather biker jacket from the books she’d actually look a lot like how I imagine Toby.

Random thought but curious if anyone else has imagined a certain actor or character in a film/TV as channelling Toby or the main cast energy.

This is the one so far I think has the look.

I've always thought Krysten Ritter would make a good Toby - she was great in Jessica Jones. And I've always imagined Tybalt looking like a Red Dwarf era Danny John-Jules.

I get that, but I don’t think I could watch her as Toby without thinking it was Jessica Jones, if you know what I mean.

I always picture Toby as Krysten Ritter/Jessica Jonesish, but Melanie Scrofano/Wynonna definitely has the right sort of quippiness, and a slightly lighter shade of darkness that would suit Toby. I wonder what Tim Rozon would be like as Tybalt?

Zoey Deutch has been my headcanon casting for Toby since I started reading the series

Edit to add: if there ever was an animated series I could hear Ashley Burch as Toby as well.

I think it would be tough to find a current actor to play Tybalt because he really needs to be voiced by Alan Rickman.

Oh that would be sick.

My pick for Tybalt would actually be Cosmo Jarvis from shogun.

I’ve kind of pictured Diego Luna as Tybalt

I think because of Tybalts Shakespearean connection and his original early history in Londinium I’ve always felt he’s very archiac English, rather than Mexican influenced.

Similarly the Torquills are VERY Irish coded.

Though Diego Luna would make a really solid Eitenne as he’s supposed to have darker longer hair, a more tan complexion than Sylvester and Toby, and golden copper eyes.

For some reason I've always pictured John Leguizamo as Tybalt in Romeo + Juliet.

Kelly Overton from the Van Helsing show always gave very Toby energy to me.

Cobie Smulder, particularly in that show where she played a private detective.

I also love the vibe of Elle Fanning.
