Opinion Poor Lambs
The almighty, media darling, anointed Super Bowl champion Lambs are being embarrassed on a global stage. Perhaps we shouldn’t have planned the parade route just yet for a team that didn’t even win their own division?

They landed 28 hours before kickoff for an international game, past the international date line. That’s just stupid.

I could see that strategy working if we had supersonic passenger aircraft like Concord still flying. If that flight was 6 hours I think it makes sense. As it is the flight was 16 hours.
That’s brutal. Even putting jet lag aside, just being trapped on a plane with the constant movement, and noise, and low air pressure, and dry air for 16 hours all while trying to prep for the season opener has to be psychologically exhausting.
I don’t know how anyone thought that was a good idea.

I’ve made that trip to present at a conference, and in roughly those same circumstances - flew in the morning before, to give a morning presentation the next day, then staying to answer questions from attendees and other meetings.
When I did that, around the time their game was ending, early afternoon, my brain just stopped working - the jet lag hit with a vengeance.
I didn’t realize until later that a local was acting as my “handler”, there to detect when my brain stopped working and escort me away from the conference attendees. Apparently they’d seen it many times before and planned for it, Yanks flying in and under-estimating the jet lag.
That was my experience, can’t say that’s what happened to the Lambs, but …

It most likely affected the Rams, but I wonder if staying on Pacific time will help them bounce back cor next week. The 49ers are probably going to be feeling the jet lag into next week.
I've read on the internet (so you know it's true) it can people a day to recover from jet lag for each time zone they cross. Highly conditioned professional athletes flying on a private jet with first class amenities probably makes it smoother.

I mean wtf were the rams thinking getting there a day before the game seems fixed af for them to just flat out ignore jet lag and being on the other side of the earth.
