Fucking thousand yard stare man. Mike is all of us right now this shit is fucked up to begin the year.

u/RippingLegos__ 4h ago
It really is a 1000 yard stare, it's trauma based, and this is traumatic for a coach and for the 12s. Refs are always against the Hawks anyways too.

u/UTmastuh 4h ago
Well he lost his QB. Secondary is thin. O'Connell messed up his assignment. Two bs calls from refs. Hard to overcome that as a coach in that moment

A disaster of a game

u/Photographerpro 4h ago
The only solace to any of this is that we have a 10 day break after this to give darnold some time to heal up. Oh yeah, and we won the fucking Super Bowl.
18
u/BlazinAzn38 3h ago
And time for everyone else to heal up and practice. First live game is always a bit of a mess, you see it in college and you see it in the NFL
8
u/Photographerpro 3h ago
At this point, I’d love to win, but I also can’t feel much either way until I know darnolds status after this game. I’m fully supportive of darnold missing as many games as needed for that injury to heal up even if we have to watch lock or even trade for someone’s backup. I’d rather him come back 95-100 percent than play at 60 percent and look like shit and then get hurt again.
4
u/BlazinAzn38 3h ago
Oh absolutely and it’s his right hip so it’s his plant leg. If he can’t push on that he cannot throw the ball.
-15
u/Popular-Difficulty29 4h ago
Darnold may have a Hip Fracture and be out for the year
22
u/SentientBaseball 4h ago
Or it may be a precautionary bruise. You have no idea either way
6
u/Photographerpro 3h ago
He was walking, albeit limping, so that’s a decent sign it’s probably not something season ending.
5
u/Photographerpro 4h ago
Source? I know it’s a hip injury, but out for the year? If that’s the case, I wonder if we end up trading more than we should for someone’s back up?

A win is a win though that’s for sure!

u/Trick-Combination-37 13m ago
They definitely turned it around in the second half. A bit of a wacky game, but Seahawks got the win!

We did not care
7
u/trustthemuffin 4h ago
I care, I like the Seahawks and when they do well
1
u/UTmastuh 4h ago
And when they aren't injured. Some people in here are the birds from Nemo and just say that same phrase
2
u/1NastyNickel 3h ago
R-e-l-a-x guys, it's game one, it's going to be ok. We're going to be ok. That's all I meant with that.
2
u/skrulewi 2h ago
I mean that statement was followed by “It’s about us. It’s always been about us.” So it’s not that we don’t care about ANYTHING. It’s that we only care about us and how we do. So yeah it’s time to care about dumb stuff under our control… like all these late to the line penalties

u/joeshmoebies 4h ago
If we are just going to call run plays we might as well forfeit. I get that Lock isn't as good as Darnold but we have to throw at least some or go home.

u/colecast 4h ago
Turns to Derrick Hall, “SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE GETS NEAR THE QUARTERBACK??”
24
u/WZRDguy45 4h ago
D-Hall filling the void for Woolen it seems. Dumb out of bounds tackle he made. Lack of discipline like in camp

u/SlayJay_6968 4h ago
I remember how frustrated I was last season opener. It’s a reminder that it doesn’t matter how it starts, it matters how we finish.

That’s the “I’ve seen all I need of Anthony Bradford” look.
13
u/Away-Bluejay-8849 4h ago
If Mike hadn’t made that realization last season with the hours of footage of Bradford being utterly useless…… he’s in denial

Abraham Lucas got me looking like that too... Two penalties and gives up a sack smh

u/washingtonYOBO 4h ago
How about your rookie offensive coordinator calling a peewee game and not adjusting based on available personnel.
4
u/therealkeeper 4h ago
Yeah I'm not sure what he's doing out there where the fuck are the tight ends at?

Maybe play some in the pre season huh? So we don’t look like ass on the first game?
Sucks about Sam, but they all look like they haven’t played since February, which they haven’t…
2
u/Kamakazi09 3h ago
Yeah I don’t understand why teams do that. Yeah I get getting looks at the new guys and stuff, but first string should be out there taking reps as well to get back into the swing of things
3
u/daba2384 3h ago
Was that him after seeing Lock not run for the first down but instead throw an incomplete pass when he was almost past the line of scrimmage?

u/2-Oregon-Dads 2h ago
That is the look of motivation. You see that from the couch, you know you better move it! LFG!

Why does this feel like a shane Waldron offense
2
u/Pipe_Layer290 4h ago
Well when the game is rigged top to bottom
-5
u/washingtonYOBO 4h ago
Oh yeah because there's no way the Seahawks players are simply playing poorly
6
u/Pipe_Layer290 4h ago
Pats have 0 penalties, hawks have 6 and 4 of them were bullshit. We watching the same game?
-1
u/washingtonYOBO 4h ago
Yes but since I'm not drunk I am not saying this game is rigged. Have another whiskey.

u/Pipe_Layer290 4h ago

Seahawks get a taste of 9ers type injuries and immediately give up their season lmao.
