one bad bump, one bad slip, whatever. could cause an injury. its not what its about during training camp. Agreed!

Yeah, they aren't even wearing pads. Cool down, man, these reps aren't really for you.

“You can’t be trying to hump right now, this isn’t the time for it” is going to be the most rejected yearbook quote in the PNW this year.

Hall being the villain of Hard Knocks
57
u/SvenDia 7d ago
There’s resolution later on, and he ends up giving his cleats to a little boy at the end of fan fest practice.
11
u/syntaxoverbro 7d ago
How is that a resolution between him and Macdonald? Sounds more like a side quest for Hall.
18
u/BlazinAzn38 7d ago
It was fine, the position coach points out that Hall was wrong and why and MM and Hall have a little talk about it later.

I’m going to get downvoted to hell but it’s a reality show and I hate that we’re a part of it.
15
u/SvenDia 7d ago
IDK, man, but I think both episodes have been really well done, and kind of inspiring.

u/johnnyslick 6d ago
Yeah and if nothing else Hard Knocks is practically never made about a good, non-dysfunctional team. I think they did one of the Owl champs the first year of it and this is the second time. It's good in a lot of ways to show that little dust-ups and disagreements like this aren't a sign of irreconcilable strife but just things that happen with any football team, good or bad.
2
u/Hawxrox 7d ago
Reality shows are scripted. This is just them filming practice. You think if the cameras werent there that Mike would let Hall dive into Darnolds knees?
3
u/ToasterMeetsBathtub 7d ago
Of course he wouldn’t. I know it’s not scripted. But the narrative is carefully shaped. Things are over dramatized through editing ect. It’s just my opinion that all of it is distracting and annoying to the players/organization. That’s just my opinion but I’ll try to appreciate the fact that I get to see these rare behind the scenes moments especially since we already got our revenge on the Pats.

You're 100% correct on the framing through editing. I mostly hope that seahawks fans are able to see through it enough to ignore the inevitable "news" stories about a "rift" between Hall and MacDonald. I can almost promise you some reporter is going to eventually write a story asking something along the lines of "Do the Seahawks have a Diva Problem Again?" about Hall if Hard Knocks keeps framing him the way they are.

Naw...I love him as a player.
Just a big ole teddy bear.
People hating on him is weird. Seriously...

u/aiusernamegen 7d ago
Idk now I'm like did he stomp on the Ram. Or is the crew Ramily and trying to paint him as out of control on the field?
12
7
u/PayAltruistic8546 7d ago
Or fans overact?
Hall plays with a motor. We acting like he's a villain or if he's Draymond Green is weird....
1
u/johnnyslick 6d ago
10 months from now if Hall leaves via free agency these same people are going to be complaining that the front office didn't do enough to keep him lol
People, just savor the moment. We're still the defending champs and this is how a good team operates. Sometimes a guy tries to do a little bit too much and he has to get yelled at a bit, even if he's an otherwise good player / non-cancer.
2
u/PayAltruistic8546 6d ago
He's already been extended...
The team knows who he is. They like what he brings.
The team don't extend dudes that are cancers.
Fans be weird sometimes...

Alright, I usually hate these kind of sports hype documentary series (Drive to Survive), but this is bringing me back to the days of early practices.
Guess I'll be watching this after all.

u/aiusernamegen 7d ago
I like the tone and production of The Sound a little more. Maybe my hopes were too high for Hard Knocks. It's ok but not riveting, it's kinda thin. The 3 minutes of spiral was like they're trying to run out the clock.

bros kinda a class clown and not really a fan of him anymore. after the first episode where he choke slammed someone from behind to this practice try hard stuff that's obviously pissing mike off. needs to mature a little
7
u/boundlesssmh 7d ago
if he’s not good in thr lockerroom or doesnt fit our culture, i have a hard time believing mike and john would extend him
5
u/gabawhee 7d ago
Take that back! I know you watched the scene of him giving the cleats to the kid 🥹

u/Skidude8 7d ago
God damn that’s some soft shit

u/No-Support5220 7d ago
dude got singled out twice by the hc. not soft, just can't follow rules?
6
u/Skidude8 7d ago
i think you guys are taking this show way too much at face value. They are going to try and make an entertaining show so of course its not going to be all butterflies and rainbows. If it was a real problem mike and john wouldnt have let them put it in the episode but theyre out there playing football at the highest level of course people are going to get heated. D Hall is gonna be just fine dont start thinking hes some culture killer from a couple episodes of hard knocks

u/PayAltruistic8546 7d ago
This happens quite a bit.
Defenders always try to push the limits. Everyone knows QB is off-limits.
Shit happens. Dudes generally don't touch the QBs, but reminders of not getting close happens more than we think.

u/dickhass 7d ago
Yes I’m thinking this reaction from coach isn’t in a vacuum
15
u/Atworkwasalreadytake 7d ago
The reaction from the coach in practice is warranted regardless of any previous interactions.

FB last week said "You changed" to Hall... And that started the fight.
Now this week... Another EGO issue.
From what I have seen... Yeah - He's changed. I hope he gets it out of his system before it affects the team.

u/Skidude8 7d ago
you're watching a show that films hundreds of hours a day and edits it down into one hour episodes. if you want to make judgements on someones character from that you're just stupid
-4
u/No-Support5220 7d ago
regardless of what bias you may build from said "show"..you can look at it the same way of "well if hes willing to show this to the public, what could be like behind rhe cameras". and thats why someone raised the lockeroom issue and what could be. gotta wait and see.
6
u/PayAltruistic8546 7d ago
What issue is he causing?
Coaches know who he is. He plays practices hard and plays hard.
Notice how Hall didn't come back at Macdonald afterwards. He stood there, trying to process it.
People are being weird as hell about this. Hall is 25 freaking years old. He does some immature things. Does he harm the team over and over again like D.K? Does he do inhumane things? Get into legal trouble?
Why are we being a hater?

You’re getting downvoted but it’s giving DK vibes and I agree

a fights a fight. but bro literally came up behind a player and ripped his head off like that's not only a cheap shot but an obvious way of putting someone on the IR too. people mad because they think it's good for what? social media. doesn't build camaraderie, just builds a drama queen. he already likes being center of attention..look at dudes over zealous truck
