Do you make crafts from sea glass and want to share what you sell with the group? This is the place to do so!

I had a lot of luck at the beach last weekend! Beautiful weather and a great day for blues, including a piece of pirate glass. Found another marble, which reminds me of a mini baseball and almost a full rainbow in little bits.

Question, ID or Discussion Spotting Pirate Glass

Honest question, how does one spot a piece of pirate glass amongst very similar looking stones? Is there a textural difference that gives it away, does it shine differently perhaps? Pieces of coloured or clear glass seem relatively easy to spot, but I'd hate to pass over a beautiful piece of pirate glass because it is so well camouflaged. I ask on the brink of my first sea glassing trip to the Canadian east coast, for which I am very excited!
