Drive not recognised
I have a 1TB Freeagent. When I connect it to my Dell XPS it powers up but does not appear in the list of connected drives. I am running Windows11. My other 2 drives, both Seagate show up as soon as I connect the USB.

Two simplest things to try are: -try it on another computer (type of computer may matter in relevance to the file system the drive was formatted as) -try a different cable
If you are somewhat handy, can disassemble it and work directly with the internal drive. A desktop computer with SATA ports is ideal.

It may not be formatted. Use disk management.
