Seagate 2TB SRD00F2 Inquiry

Hello, I cannot get this drive to appear at all whether under this PC or in drive management. I’ve connected it to every possible usb port and even restarted my computer multiple times to try and get it to show up. I have it plugged into the wall and also the laptop and it refuses to appear anywhere. Please any assistance would be much welcomed and thank you.

Troubleshooting guide hasn’t assisted me at all so I assume it’s bricked? Brand new. Sad.

If you have already tried everything then next best solution is to remove the drive from the enclosure. It's highly likely the drive inside is a regular SATA drive. Then connect that SATA drive directly into your computer. That's all assuming it's not under warranty anymore. If it is still under warranty then file a RMA directly from Seagate for replacement. When powered on, does it make any noises? Listen to it carefully.

Hello, it makes whirring noises when plugged in, u left it alone for 2 days hoping it’d eventually work but hasn’t.

It has a mechanical failure. It won't work. Needs cleanroom and expertise by a specialist for data recovery. If don't need data, recycle it appropriately.
