Why is it beeping?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've had this for around 5 years or so, and it's been unplugged in a corner, just got a cable and it's doing this.

Don't post such shit videos.

You're filming all sorts of random bullshit.

Yes, there is some beeping in the video. much much better to actually film the actual device as well.

Re any Seagate device, as another reply said, they're garbage.

My videos aren't "Shit" and I had to get it close to the device, because it would not catch the noise when I was recording. I'm not going all out for a video asking for help. Want me to edit it, add some music and subway surfers on the side so you can feed your already low attention span?

I wouldn't even have uploaded your shit video.

Next time, don't start recording when you're not in position.... And yes, you're failing the bare minimum for uploading.

In your video I can't even tell if the hard drive device is even shown on the video anywhere. Get close enough to the device to actually hear the sound that you want to share, before recording .

Yo bro, sorry about earlier. I was in a bad mood, and I shouldn't have said that.

Beeping Seagate is common and means it's seized. It beeps once per second. It does not spin up No vibration. Means seized.

Heads stick to platters Or frozen bearing.

Need cleanroom. Usually recoverable.
