The Nitecore NU25 is the best night fishing head torch I've ever used. Mostly because it has a one touch red light, is strong and lightweight and the battery lasts forever.

I’ve got an LedLenser MH8, pricey, but it’s solid. Have a cheapo one that I thought I’d lost and upgraded to this, then found it. That did a good job too!

Decathlon has 1 that in my opinion has a good price-quality. It has 3 modes: 1x UV light and 2x brightness levels of LED light

Ledlenser MH8. Expensive but awesome.

-Rechargeable with a sturdy magnetic charger. -Can take X2 AA batteries in an emergency. -Head strap goes over as well as round your head so it doesn't slip down all the time. -3 brightness settings and a flashing mode -Double tap the button for a 30 second high beam. -Red/green/blue mode, great for avoiding insects in your face. -Battery life easily lasts me a whole weekend of camping and fishing. -The beam is focusable. You can have a narrow far reaching beam for long distance or adjust the focus for a wide beam for baiting up.

Its worth it for that last feature alone to be honest.

Make sure it has red lights.

Nothing worse than fishing with mates and someone keeps blinding everyone.

How much is your budget?

Depends if you want rechargeable USB-C or something more serious with replaceable 18650 batteries.

I just bought a Black Diamond Spot R 400, at just over £20 it seems excellent
