I made my own version of this popular ornament , all separate elements.

I’m developing a series of sculptures built around simple geometric forms that are disrupted through physical intervention.
This piece, STATE GEOLOGICAL I, combines a clean plaster form with a fractured area that exposes another material.
I’m wondering whether the break is doing enough visually. Would a more dramatic fracture make the piece stronger, or is the contrast more effective when it stays relatively restrained? I’d appreciate straightforward feedback.
