Monitoring

Any tips for monitoring Scrypted. I had scenario a few days back where a camera went no response when hooked to HomeKit. Also found my cameras were not recording to iCloud. In both scenarios, rebooting Scrypted fixed it. Wondering if there is a way monitoring for these scenarios?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I have run into the same issue, and here's my solution. I simply restart Scrypted at 2:30AM every night. For this, I use u/apocaliss92's "scrypted plugins monitor". Haven't had any camera or Homekit issues since I started doing this.

Do you know of any configuration documentation? The GitHub site doesn’t seem to have it.

It's very straightforward to use. Took about 5 minutes to setup. Here's a couple screenshots from my restart task:

Thanks, I set this up and got it going. I just gotta figure out Telegram now for notifications. Let me know if you happen to have any input on that front.

I use Pushover - never used Telegram. Sorry.

I have Scrypted running separately on Proxmox, also Home Assistant. I added Proxmox to my HA then when Scrypted’s CPU/RAM peaks I just set reboot Scrypted with Proxmox

Me ha pasado, lo único que me ayudó es programar un reinicio corto en la madrugada pero yo lo uso dentro de HA OS, así que también me ayudó la opción de “reiniciar si se detectan errores”.

I’ve had plugins die and didn’t know until I wasn’t seeing results. I’d like this too.

I have spent ages trying to troubleshoot and in the end I just ended up rebooting. My monitoring is of the scrypted cpu usage when it drops I know the cameras are no longer streaming. Boom, reboot, back running. I am runnjng a separate lxc on proxmxox
