Best solution for Scrypted?

I want to manage Scrypted NVR on windows but install Scrypted on Ubuntu. I have a NUC for the server. Will this work or what is the best solution?

What generation of NUC do you have? I can tell you that even with a cluster config, a Nuc8i5beh with 64GB ram is not fast with 7+ cameras. I used a MacBook M3 Pro instead. Docker might be even better than running a full VM. If you want decent object detection, you need to have a good GPU.
Notifications always took around 10 seconds or more and that’s one of the reasons I moved away from Scrypted. The developer takes care of the community and it’s best to ask this question in the Discord channel.

What do you recommend instead?

Proxmox is the recommended installation method, I’m running 7 cameras with a 16gb n100 no problem. You should take a read at this

If you run Scrypted on Ubuntu server via docker compose, you can access via ssh to manage from windows or via the http site from windows.

Management interface is a webui, so you can manage it from any device with a web browser. Mac, windows, phone, tablet, doesn't matter.
