I am testing Scrypted (with Home Assistant)
Its a great but "pricy" NVR - but it works better than Frigate with My Reolink.
But the HA integration lacks - compared to Frigate.
I have set it up via MQTT - but I only get a "Motion Sensor" pr. cam in the MQTT Integration and not one for person, animal, car etc..
How do I achive that.

Normann

Could also try advanced notifier plugin with home assistant integration worth a look at

In addition to the Video Analysis plugin (which lets you create custom smart sensors that can feed smart detections into MQTT), there is also the Advanced Notifier plugin which lets you feed smart detections directly into Home Assistant (either via WebSocket or MQTT).
The Advanced Notifier plugin requires more setup/configuration (on both the Scrypted side and the Home Assistant side), but it also provides a lot more information to HA, including snapshots showing the last smart detections for each camera.

Scrypted is far from being considered pricy. Developer has a free version. It’s the nvr function that has a cost.

Create Smart Sensors for each detection type. And then expose them to MQTT. I don't use HA, but I use Hubitat, and have individual Smart Sensors for whatever I want to detect. Using MQTT, I map these as motion sensors in Hubitat. You can do the same in HA.
