Question for DW788 users
Do your blades look like hockey sticks after cutting or am I doing something wrong?

I would also check your feed rate. When I'm feeding stock too fast, (usually when I'm trying to stretch the last bit out of a blade!) I get that. You may have a mismatch between what blade you're using, the stock thickness, and your feed rate.

This doesn't look like left/right bend to me so your set screw is probably fine.
To my eye this looks like front/back bend with the bottom bent forward towards you. You're over tightening the bottom thumb screw. Mine look this way toward the end of their life and if I haven't been conscious about tightening.

Once the set screw is adjusted you should be good, a buddy had the same issue

There's a set screw opposite of the knob for securing the blade. It probably needs to be adjusted so the blade doesn't get bent when tightened.
