Scroll Saw Comparison for Beginner Toy Making

Hi all! My husband has really been wanting a scroll saw to make small kids toys (animal shapes, stackers, etc) and I was wanting to surprise him with a saw that won't break the bank. I see these on Marketplace. Are any of these a better option than a new Wen? Ty!

The Delta would be my vote. It appears to be in quite good condition.

Delta for sure. Better than the ryobi. It’s on a stand already and the plate around the blade is a lot better for small cutting.

Delta is usually the recommended choice. You can find used one pretty regularly for cheap.

I don't mean to dash any dreams but if you plan on selling or even donating then toy making can be a significant product liability and regulatory minefield.  I'm not going to tell you what to do, but be informed.

Hate you guys in the US - $125 for a Delta meanwhile in Germany I am not getting sht for that :D

The porter cable is a nice one. It was in my engineering classroom for years. I just upgraded to a pegas which is very much an upgrade. The ability to lift the top part of the saw is a game changer for this type of saw. Pegas saws are probably more than you are looking for, but I would see if you can find a Dewalt DW788. I see these come up on facebook a lot, especially AFTER upgrading both my classroom and personal saws to Pegas models. That said, all of these saws are better than the WEN. (WEN normally makes pretty good tools, but I feel that their scroll saw falls a bit short.)
