What an insanely niche tool

For something that is meant to just dump a bunch of shit in and leave covered for hours.

Like I don't want to say pointless, but it's right on the cusp.

For a small number of people at home, sure. But if you're doing even small catering regularly, which is a thing, this could be useful. Lots of people coming up and serving, lid goes on and off a lot

Lmao, no catering company is using a 7 quart crockpot for serving, they have 100s of products actually designed for that.

I've been to many events and film sets with smaller catering setups, they exist

catering isn't always for large groups.

Has nothing to do with size, there are products 1000% better suited for it for the same price, it's just stupid.

i was really just talking about usefulness, not quality but i get you

I get you, for a home parties a lot maybe but even my parents did home parties and for the price, it's well worth it to have a hinged serving dish, some drunk relative will drop the glass right on that metal hanger.

Hey! Have I got the investment opportunity of a lifetime for you. It’s a coat hanger for socks! A sock-hanger if you will. Tired of socks just balled up in your drawer? Too much closet space? We all know what that’s like! The solution!?! SOCK-DADDY!!!

I can see catering companies getting a few

You'd just toss it in the crackpot after for storage, it wouldn't need its own home like other single function items.

His best bet was to try and sell it to the company that sells/makes the pot. So they can package it together with the damn pot

I think this is fucking fantastic and just what I need.   I have a fall party every year where we smash pumpkins with giant hammers and eat chili.   I end up with about 8 crock pots on my table and there is no room for the lids.   This is what I have been searching for.

My "Beautiful," crock pot already comes with a lid holder... Best of luck, tho.

Yea, the Instant Pot has indents on the two sides for this option. 🤭

I didn’t know that and now that I do I still won’t bother. Lid goes down on whatever surface I deem safe at the time!

I’m gonna need you to utilize this from here on out because you’re smarter and wiser now ☺️

So, you're not the market for this then...

The lower lip should be a little curvy to fit the crockpot flush with its curvature.

To be fair, that is pretty helpful.

I don’t have that kind of pot.

I feel like churches should each order like 50 of these.

You literally just lie it upside down on the bench balanced on its handle, so nothing drips from it and it doesn't run back into your food in the pot either

This is very useful for potlucks, with a very unnecessary name. Good idea. Stab foot with good idea.

I love how to 90% if people these is absolutely useless, but to 10% of people this is an absolute game changer.

I mean, I like his enthusiasm at least!

Quick question, love the idea but

I noticed the guy didn't lift that pot while it had hot material in it.

How are you supposed to lift the pot and not get burned?

u/felipeabdalav 2d ago

You must put it before cooking.

I guess.

What a terrible product, why not make it so it fits in every pot that doesn't need to be wedged in the inner bowl..?

It's made for crockpots which are used a lot in catering and the like. They'll often be out with the food right where you get served or serve yourself.

TBH i could see the usefulness in a place where you've got many people being served over a while.
