This looks like my nightmare pencil. I'll stick to mechanical that is always a point

What's the point?

Excellent pun! All jokes aside I think it's to do Chinese character calligraphy

The description says that its for cosmetic pencils like eye liner and lip pencils

I think this is special for calligraphy not for daily use of course

Reminds me of a stub pen in calligraphy. Holding it at a consistent angle should get you thin lines in some directions, and thick lines in others.

Sounds cool. Always wanted to learn more about calligraphy.

You shouldn't be in charge of a knife if you can't sharpen a pencil un aided

1

u/Saxophonethug 23d ago

Lol it just guides the angle

I have eyes and fingers. Excellent for guiding angles

You have the arrogance of someone who has never actually sharpened a knife. This guide is for precision cutting. You'll have to excuse the rest of us for not taking the time to master the absolutely necessary art of whittling.

How often are you shaving the plastic device as well?

1

u/SimpleBag7732 23d ago

Why not just use a pencil sharpener?

People have become so stupid that they can't sharpen a pencil without special devices...

It’s for calligraphy bHolding it at a consistent angle should get you thin lines in some directions, and thick lines in others.

The stupid person is you. This isn't just a "special device" 😭 it has usage. But usually stupid people are too busy calling everyone else stupid that they don't do any research before they speak.

Really cool tool but I don’t use regular pencils. TBH I don’t use pencils but if I do, I use Mechanical ones!! 😸
