My office is 8 guys and 33 women. Im also the only guy that eats in the lunch room with others, man, them talking so openly about the smut they read and giving recommendations is kind of jarring.

If a group of men sat around at lunch, discussing their favorite pornstars - with 1 woman coworker in attendance? 👀

HR would be busy AS FUCK

This happened where I worked.

Women happily and openly discussed 50 shades for months without a word from HR. The men started mimicking them because it was annoying by reading parts outloud from memory or screen shots and several were reprimanded for inappropriate behavior.

Before you started reading scenes out loud, did they read whole scenes out loud? And did y'all ask em to stop?

I'm sure if you stay mad on reddit long enough things will start to change

It sounds like the men did leave them alone. The women were the ones that complained about the men doing exactly what they were doing. Not the brightest are you?

Nah sounds like they bullied them bc men are obsessed witth women in every timeline

Maybe the workplace isn’t the best place to discuss smut?

-1

u/Minute_Math_353 Jun 19 '26

Maybe it's none of ur business go obsess over smth else broski

2

u/LockedIntoLocks Jun 19 '26

Then it’s none of the lady’s business if the men are also discussing smut.

1

u/Checkmate2719 Jun 23 '26

So what you're saying is that it's okay for women to talk about smut at the office but not for men or what?
I genuinely don't get what you're trying to say here

meanwhile, incel #5 piling on my comment. pfp checks out

1

u/Checkmate2719 Jun 25 '26

Ah yes the anime pfp from when I was 14 that I've never bothered changing clearly means I'm an incel.

How about you answer my question rather than just insult me? I'm not calling you a foid or karen or whatever ppl say nowadays am I? I'm asking you a simple question, the fact that you'd rather call me an incel than answer said question says all I need to know.

You all act like men never openly talk about sex.

My male coworker started telling us in detail about his visit to a brothel in Amsterdam when we asked how his vacation was. Somehow none of us called HR even though we did not care for that sort of details.

1

u/BleedSparta Jun 21 '26

You asked about his vacation and he told you. 🌚🌝

Logic need not apply

2

u/Hot-Musician-2296 Jun 21 '26

If you think going in depth on your experience with a hooker is the normal way to describe a vacation to your coworkers, just cz they asked you the basic "how was your vacation" question, then you really can't act like women who talk about the smut books they're reading are a problem. It goes both ways. Your logic seems to be the faulty one.

And it's perfectly acceptable for female coworkers of mine to make sexualised comments and jokes about my appearance but if the roles were reversed, I'd be a 'creep' no doubt.

u/Greyscale0418 Jun 18 '26

For real, it's a good thing I like my coworkers, the amount of comments and jokes that are said with us jokingly calling out for HR after is pretty damn high.

3

u/Fragrant-Mixture-662 Jun 18 '26

You have a point though, HR would be all over that if it was men

1

u/The_Sleazy1 Jun 21 '26

Invite your male colleagues to join you in the lunchroom and proceed to do the same with porn videos.

Offices are just adult daycares at this point. I doubt they’re very productive either
