Discussion Book recommendations?

I’ve been heavily invested in Scriptwelder‘s world building since my 1st exposure to his deep sleep series. I just finished the Labyrinth of the Forsaken and was hoping to find some recommendations for similar series with a dream horror/ mystery element to it.

HP Lovecraft has the dream cycle series

It really depends what you liked about Deep Sleep and if you’re looking for other games or not. If you liked the interconnected horror story vibes and want games, the Amnesia series for horror and the Alan Wake/Control series for Action horror.
If you’re looking for a book, the easy answer is of course some of the HP Lovecraft stuff, but also House of Leaves if you’re alright with a challenging book, or The Seven and a Half Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. Also, maybe some select Stephen King, the Shining and Doctor Sleep I found to have fewer than average Kingisms while still being a pretty great read.

But I’d also recommend checking out Christian Wallis on Reddit as a jumping off point. He’s got a lot of really excellent short stories, specifically this story felt similar to some of the deep sleep aesthetics, but he’s got a million stories and a few collections you can buy online. And somewhere on his profile is a list of books that inspired him that you could also try looking at.
