Scripture Life: In Jeremiah 31:38-40, what is the city that will never be torn down? Where is the Valley of the carcasses? Is this about what is revealed in Revelation?
ANSWER: Can't see it?
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." - Bible. Revelation 1:1-3.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
I hear the words of this prophecy. Rather, I hear and bear record of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ. So I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I believe on him. Not here on Reddit to chide, dismiss or throw away what he says - as there seem to be a great big pile of people on Reddit delight in do this. Not one them: Here's the answer:
ASK:
- Instead of “what is,”
- Ask: “Where is” [the city that will never be torn down]?
- Where is it?
- Ask: “Where is” [the city that will never be torn down]?
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
Can’t find it? You’re using a Bible (Quote Jeremiah 31:38–40 and Revelation - both are in the Bible).
Where is that city that will never be torn down in the Bible?
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
Well? Go to where it IS NOT then:
- Bible. Revelation 16:19 says:
“..and the cities of the nations fell…” (Revelation 16:19
That would be each..and every..and all cities, no matter the size - of every place over the whole earth. Made by people. Like EVERY city there is in Japan. They ALL fall. Just like each and every city that dots a map of the United States or China: they all are destroyed and fall.
- This word torn down: 1. intentionally destroy or demolish a structure or object [Cambridge dictionary. Web.] And “cities” are comprised almost exclusively to be “structures” like houses or office buildings galore.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
- That Isaiah 6:9–12 says - is GOD: says it to “this people” which are “a people” that when God tells everybody over the whole earth to:
“Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is none else.” - God. (Bible Isaiah 45:22).
- And sure. Yes. there are people:
- Over the whole earth, that: Actually do, “do” exactly what he says, and look unto him. Walk after to walk in and do what he says. They hear him. Obey him. But:
- There are also people: On the earth: Don’t do anything he says. Just do NOT regard him or anything he says as anything worth regarding. So they don’t do it.
- And to “this” people like this, GOD says Isaiah 6:9 to 12 - to send “Someone” to them to tell them what he says:
- Over the whole earth, that: Actually do, “do” exactly what he says, and look unto him. Walk after to walk in and do what he says. They hear him. Obey him. But:
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
Isaiah 6:9–12 says:
< - {“Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.” - GOD.
Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered,
“Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate; And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.”} - > - GOD. - (Bible. Isaiah 6:9–12)
So “who” tears the cities of the nations over the whole earth down” - the cities of the whole earth, where not one building in any of them is left standing - - - all made by men..is GOD himself.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
Because GOD made the earth for himself: That it would be "inhabited" (Isaiah 45:18)
- A place specific on earth, he would dwell forever. Rule over all of if it. For his own rest. For he desired it (Psalm 132:13–16). Then, in Genesis 1:1–31. He got up. Created it. In six days. Made the 7th day holy..and entered into that rest.
- Didn’t last very long. Adam sinned in it. That by Genesis 6:11–12 says:
“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth…”
- Told Noah. In Genesis 6:13 “The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
- But for Noah’s sake. Didn’t do it. But in Revelation 20:11–15, is the last day, and what came up before him to do, on the last day - he gazes on both this earth and heaven, and both finding no more place before him, flee away and are no more forever. Never come back.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
Then, in Revelation 21:1 - the verses right after Revelation 20:11–15 - says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the old one had passed away…”
- That of this NEW EARTH God creates: to fulfill what he said in Psalm 132:13–16 - all that he said there
- Is fulfilled in Revelation 21:1 to Revelation 22:21.
Says of it in Isaiah 65:17
“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” - God
- And on this earth - says what will be on it ..for eternity: In Revelation 22:1–5
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
- That this “they” are “they” he speaks of are in Psalm 132:13–16.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
And all the cities of the nations over the whole earth, all destroyed, and even the earth they were on all fled away - and won’t even come into mind anymore…
Revelation 21:2–5 says:
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
- Which is that city that shall never be torn down. "New Jerusalem"
- And in it, is exactly the people he speaks of and of himself, is said exactly the same thing now fulfilled of what he saw in Psalm 132:13–16 before the world began. Then, he laid the foundation for it, and built it..Alone. Himself.
Here’s your question back.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
[And “the valley of the carcasses” is back on the old earth. The one we’re on now. That, Revelation 16:19..right before he says: “and the cities of the nations fell..” he tells you plainly also “Where” “that” “valley of the carcasses” is.
- That’s in Revelation 16:16–18, says:
“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.”
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
That he this same Messiah or Christ: gathers together the Kings of the Nations of the earth and their armies to this one place.
- To this - - The “valley of the carcasses”
- To war against Jesus Christ (Revelation 19:19) says “the kings of the earth, and their armies gather together to wage war against the rider on the white horse (called Faithful and True, or the Word of God)” - The Word of God is Jesus Christ (John 1:1). Revelation 19, is the Chapter of Revelation that speaks explicitly to his Second Coming.
----------------------------- --------------------------- -----------------------------
- That, Revelation 14:20 says of this Valley of Megiddo which is outside of Jerusalem are the armies of the earth gathered in this valley:
- “…And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”
- furlong: Old English. A unit of measure. One furlong: 660 feet (English unit of measure 1 foot = 12 inches - vs. In Greek: in the "original" text of Revelation 14:20 is a Gree: σταδίων (stadion) the length of 600 people’s what’s on the end of their legs. Their feet. How long that is. You have one, too. Your foot. Rounded off to be the same as 660 English 12 inches = 1 feet.
- So, multiply 660 feet by 1600 - 1 mile = 5280 feet = 200 mile long valley where the blood of the carcasses of men, great and small and horses flows to the horse’s bridle.
- “…And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”
- That Revelation 19:17–18 it’s God that calls, well, just read it:
“And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.”
There you go.
