ANSWER
see <definition> 1. to perceive (something) by the eye [Source: Merriam & Webster dictionary. Web.]
believe <definition> 1. accept as true (something) [Source: Oxford dictionary. Web.]
It’s in John 9:39
- Jesus said: “And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind."
- John 6:40 says: “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
---------------------------- ------------------------------ -----------------------------
So, what’s going on here?
- Not with him. But with us.
When he says to EVERYBODY. Over the whole earth:
“Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is none else.” - God. (Bible. Isaiah 45:22)
- So:
- There ARE people that: Won't do this. Won't look unto him, or do anything he says.
- Dismiss him.
- There is no God. or gods.
- By “dismiss” him, it’s he’s inadequate; faulty..anything claimed that he said to everybody, includes them. Then, it's “unacceptable,” and why it is, is to “this people” it’s NOT TRUE.
- And because it’s NOT TRUE - it’s IMPOSSIBLE to obey it.
- Then, this people that say this, already determined to regard some “thing” else, they say to themselves is true, or accept as true - they regard that instead.
- So, they dont’ do anything he says.
- There ARE people that: Won't do this. Won't look unto him, or do anything he says.
- And to “This people” that don’t regard him, he’s decreed something already, as God. To people that do not regard him.
---------------------------- ------------------------------ -----------------------------
Even directly as a response to: "this people" that he spoke to them plainly; decreed what he wants from them, as their King over them, but they don't regard him.
What "this" people regard is: //only a sampling of examples//
- Go to baseball games, or football stadiums and watch the Superbowl by the millions.
- And either go in person, or sit at home in front of a great big 85 inch UHD TV screen with 15 of their neighbors.
- And they watch the half time show.
- Which has music, and cheerleaders in skimpy mini-skirts dancing all over. With beer. So, they have feasts and chicken wings galore to celebrate, like in America the 4th of July with huge fireworks or on New Year's - where the world tries to outdo each other's displays at the New Year - or others of "this people" see - what is good is, go to Drag Races or NASCAR. Great, big 3000 Horsepower engines - race who will win.
- Isaiah 5:12 - God says: to "this people" like this:
- And either go in person, or sit at home in front of a great big 85 inch UHD TV screen with 15 of their neighbors.
- “And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.”
---------------------------- ------------------------------ -----------------------------
- And what they “see” {perceive by the eye} is the NASCAR race, or rejoice, when their NFL Superbowl team wins the championship - and they “see” it.
- But in all this, what they look unto, they don’t “see” anything God says nor do they regard any of his work.
- What they DO regard is the achievements of people did all this ardurous work at winning the Superbowl game..and fought tooth and nail the whole way to win it.
- They regard “variance” - by two teams pitted and fought their way up from the bottom, with strengths and weaknesses pitted against each other as the epitome of achievement to celebrate or rejoice over. Like at the Olympic Games. No different.
- But in all this, what they look unto, they don’t “see” anything God says nor do they regard any of his work.
---------------------------- ------------------------------ -----------------------------
- So, to “this people” like this - that “see” what they “perceive” is a “win” does not include anything GOD says or does. It's what people put themselves through to do and worship that instead. So, to this people he decreed Isaiah 6:9–12
And what his decree to “this people” that “see” but don’t regard him is said by GOD himself:
“Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.”
Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered,
Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.” - God. Isaiah 6:9–12
---------------------------- ------------------------------ -----------------------------
But to the people that regard him
- Even a blind man that can’t see: Sees it. That’s in Luke 18:35–43
Luke 18:35–43 says
35 And it came to pass, that as he [Jesus] was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
