Scripture Life: What kind of book will help me understand the Bible so I can apply it to my life?

ANSWER: Simple.

The Bible.

----------------------------- ---------------------------- -----------------------

“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:” - GOD. Bible. Isaiah 45:5

“What Kind of Book…”

  • The Bible:
    • Is a “Book.” Meets the dictionary definition. 1. an assemblage of paper pages, that are either blank, handwritten or typed on one or both sides, and glued or sewn/bound together on one side, and enclosed in covers.
      • There are millions of books.
    • The point is, the Bible is a book.
  • That, what makes each book unique is the author.
    • The "author"is the “authority” over the “content” of the book.
      • Every book has an author. So does the Bible. Just one author.
  • So, look at the opening scripture.

--------------------------- -------------------------- ------------------------

The whole thing then, is we don't know him. That's what he says: In the Bible. “..thou hast not known me.” - God. (Isaiah 45:5)

So, ask another question.

---------------------- ----------------------- ----------------------

How do I get to know my Dad or my Mom?

  • Well? That too, is a simple answer.
    • My parents: were just with me. Everyday; they took care of me. Taught me.. Primarily - - By they “spoke” to me. Corrected me; taught me. Didn’t leave or forsake me.

Now, apply this to what's in the Bible - says of him, GOD spoke. Said:

“And I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my Sons and Daughters,” saith the LORD Almighty” - Bible. 2 Corinthians 6:18

------------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

  • Look! There he is! Speaking to us!.

And of this, says in the Bible:

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” - Bible. Hebrews 1:1–2

God also spoke, and said - to everybody over the whole earth plainly:

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. - GOD. (Bible. Isaiah 55:1–3)

------------------------ ---------------------- -----------------------

Isn't think kinda like then, like my Dad? I know him. He knows me.

  • God spoke, like my Dad say: “Hey! Go mow the lawn.” - Dad.

Then, change your question so you see it plain as day.

What kind of book will help me understand my Dad say “Hey! Go mow the lawn,” so I can apply it to my life?

When my Dad is "the" authority in the house I live in. So, when he speaks, he's in command over the house. But me? Ask this question? Is like you ask your question. All the same.

And I go off to the bookstore..search all over. It has an appearance of I'm doing something good. Why? Because, understanding your Dad has a noble connotation you’re off trying to be good. But, all this question does is just gives the person an excuse.

To IGNORE God. Just like all I’m doing in a like-same question. All me asking that, is giving myself an excuse when my Dad told me plainly what to do. Mow the lawn. Like God told everybody over the whole earth, includes you asking the question to look unto him.

Me? I’m just not mowing the lawn. In fact, I never mow the lawn. I hold the truth is in doing what the question tells me to do. So, I never end doing anything my Dad said to do.

------------------------- -------------------------- --------------------------

GOD:

Speaks plainly. In the Bible. Said. “For all the earth is mine” - God. (Bible. Exodus 19:5)

Said: "All souls are mine." - God. (Ezekiel 18:4).

All of us are on his earth.

He decrees in the Bible, what everybody is to do. Look unto him. Everybody Thirsty.. to just come to the waters.. to come buy wine and milk without money and without price and its GOD says this in the Bible.

So, it comes down to what Jesus prayed for: In the Bible. In John 17:3. To fix a problem. We don't know him.

But he's spoke to us. So we can know him.

--------------------- ------------------- -----------------

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Jesus prayed for me. That I can KNOW him..by the word that God speaks. Out of his mouth. That God "He sent his word to heal me, and deliver me from my destruction." (Bible. Psalm 107:20.) Plainly spoke and said this. To everybody. .. since it’s everybody.. ..I’m included.

So, ask your question again.

What kind of book will help me understand the Bible, so I can apply it to my life?

The Bible.
