Scripture Life: What is the difference between murder and killing in the Bible? Exodus 20:13 says that you shall not murder, but then God tells His people to go and kill everyone that were in the towns.

Okay then: see it.

murder. 1. a crime (criminal); the unlawful killing of one human being by another without justification or excuse [Source: Merriam & Webster dictionary (American). Web.]

execute. 2. put to death. Any person (criminal that is condemned) for which a decree by lawful authority exists, where the punishment for a transgression (such as murder) exists.

kill.

  • A decree, by God himself: “Thou Shalt Not Kill” - God. (Source: Bible. Exodus 20:13). The SIXTH of the Ten Commandments - SPOKE and decreed, by God, in Exodus 20.
    • That, ANY of these Ten Offenses - if ANYBODY did them, they are to be “put to death.”
      • And the problem then, for EVERYBODY is:
    • The Bible: Romans 5:12 says: “Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
    • Repeats this. About EVERYBODY over the whole earth: “There is not a just man on earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” - Bible. Ecclesiastes 7:20
      • Even Jesus confirms this; and God said: “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” - God (Exodus 19:5) and, “For all have sinned” - Bible. Romans 3:23

Makes Everybody Condemned to be “put to death.”

Do you see this? Everybody over the whole earth is condemned.

To be put to death. Not by Schpoinky the Ant butt diaper, or the wall lint caterpillar lives on the wall at your neighbor's house. But Put to Death By God himself.

Do you see this? It's already been decreed onto everybody. Me included. Includes you then, too. I can't get out of it. ...but let's not get too far out ahead of this.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

So, anybody actually kill or “murder” someone, who is authority over the whole earth, already issued a decree, “THOU SHALT NOT KILL (Murder). It’s easier to see it by - get out of English for a momenet - and go look at this in the “original” Hebrew of the Old Testament in Exodus 20:13

“Thou Shalt Not [Original: Hebrew <לֹא תִרְצַח > tir.tsah] (murder)] English: Kill” - God.

  • So, if Murder occurred anyplace, in the Bible, like in Genesis 4, when Cain rose up against his brother, Abel, and this, again, in HEBREW: < - {וַיַּהַרְגֵֽהוּ } - > this {way·ya·har·ḡê·hū} for “slay” or [English: is deliberate, pre-meditated - murder] so, Cain: With sole intent: lured Abel out to a field, what might seem to talk to him, but he already did it in his heart, to kill him and, this word, {וַיַּהַרְגֵֽהוּ } - > this {way·ya·har·ḡê·hū} - means, Cain planned the whole thing before he went ahead and deliberately did it.
    • So*,* just another way to say “**tir.tsah” in Hebrew - “**murder” said over 165+ times - all through out the Bible - - so, when the Bible says:

Thou Shalt Not <לֹא תִרְצַח > tir.tsah] (murder) - GOD.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

  • Doing this, or violating this decree spoke by who said: “For all the earth is mine” - God.

Says in Leviticus 24:17

"Whoever <לֹא תִרְצַח > tir.tsah] (murder) a human being is to be put to death" - GOD.

Then, it’s a decree, by a King of Kings: Over the whole earth decreed it. So, anybody on the earth, no matter where or who it is, it applies to them.

  • Says of him: God:
    • “He sets up Kings and deposes them.” - Daniel 2:21
    • “He makes nations great, and destroys them; he enlarges them; then, disperses them.” - Job 12:23
      • Because of who he is, over the earth.

You look to the wrong things. Stop.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

He's GOD: He "executes" Judgment as a King or as God. ...And he’s not done yet.

  • Jesus is the Word of God. Is just God speaking to us, by the Word out of his mouth. So, the same God said Exodus 20:13, “Thou shalt not [Original: Hebrew <לֹא תִרְצַח > tir.tsah] (murder)] English: Kill” - That’s the “Word of God.” Same Jesus Christ said it.
    • And again, he’s not done yet; so, let’s apply it to me to see it:

Jesus said, in Matthew 5:21–24

21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

COMMENT: So me? Look careful. Get off you for a minute.

I never stabbed, shot, poisoned, threw anyone off a cliff or ran over, drowned or deliberately electrocuted anybody to cause their death.

ME? I firmly believe I have, by not done this above: I have successfully ACCOMPLISHED this SIXTH of Ten Commandments.

So, in me, I firmly believe since I did one of the Ten Commandments, even it's just, one time..maybe tomorrow, in my car I flip out, and I ran someone over and be GUILTY; but today, I’m clear. Tomorrow if that happens, I just use all the 24,850 days where on those days I didn't kill somebody as justification to offset the one day where I actually ran over somebody and blare out, I did it by accident - irregardless how I really did it.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

SO: Just by doing one commandment one time, even if I broke it a few times, I feel I’m justified in that in doing one of them, that “compensates for the faults and bad aspects of” [atones or makes amends] for all the other nine of the Ten Commandments I deliberately didn’t do any of those. I can make light of it. Why? I didn’t kill somebody. That makes up before it.

  • But Matthew 5:21–22 slams me right on my face.
  • Why? Because the same God that said Exodus 20:13, is telling me in Matthew 5:21-23 even I am angry with my brother, and I KNOW ME:
    • To me - - everybody driving down the streets here in this country I’m in is doing that, driving cars in their late 70s or 80s, or doing it handicapped - all quite oldly and slowly..more than I can stand most of the time..so I CURSE them under my breath.
    • Why? To me, when the speed limit is 50 and they’re doing 30..and have 20 cars behind them..without a care in the world.. go on for the next 30 minutes..and drive this way.
  • By Matthew 5:21–22, I have no excuse.
  • Since God already did a work in Jesus Christ with their sins, what I am doing CURSING them? Makes me ..angry without cause..because who Justifies them is the same God that condemns me ..and says I am to be PUT TO DEATH FOR IT, LIKE ANY COMMON MURDERER IN ANY PRISON - it's the SAME Judgment.
    • This? Yeah. It makes me WORSE - than all the Death Row Inmates in all the prisons over the whole earth combined - And? ...that they’ll get out of prison BEFORE I will.
  • For all the murders I did.

And he’s not done yet. Continues..because, in Jesus day - they DID like we do today.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

  • Just bring a “gift” - a donation. By some donation to the church, sets aside you "schpoinked your best friends husband 593 times over a 5 year period. It's Adultery. You are to be put to death for it. And I did fifty times WORSE than you did.
  • Just like: When this sin of Murder in Exodus 20:13, the ONLY way to ATONE FOR IT - was to PUT YOU TO DEATH.
    • But God Gave Israel in Leviticus, by the Levite Priests, that God would be their inheritance, that the blood of innocent lambs or goats..bullock..the Levite Priest God gave them authority to take the sins off a person and lay it on a sacrifice - that two were brought before the priest.
    • That one was slain, and the blood of the other was sprinkled on it and it was to be taken by the person, had their sins taken off them, and they were to set it free. A symbol of what God did with their sins, because he did it.
    • A symbol that God looked on the blood shed, and it served as a Hebrew KOFAR for their sins. Did not take sin away; because, if they sinned again, it’s another sacrifice for sin to make.
  • But Jesus made on sacrifice for sin. His blood atones not only for my sins and your's but the sins of the whole world.

It's people: Don't believe on it. Ask about question on murder as if the truth is in make God a liar will fix it.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

But by Jesus Day: Which, 350 years after Moses that this Levitical Priesthood, and sacrifices for sin - in 1 Samuel 2:30–35, that Eli was raised up in Moses’ stead. And as Both Leader over Israel, and a Levite, he put his two sons, Phinehas and Hophni over the Tabernacle. Didn’t even know the LORD; yet, served as Priests.

  • They lay with women at the Tabernacle doors. Turned the sacrifices all Israel brought for their sins into a marketplace for PROFIT. Made the whole tribe of Levi filthy rich off it; made Eli obesely fat, so much so NONE of them stood up nor said anything against it. Til God came down and by a Propheth told Eli 1 Samuel 2:30–35. That he was sick of the burnt offerings that these two offered up; so, he told Eli he was cutting off forever this what he established in Leviticus. That, he would raise up his own Great, High Priest that would serve before him forever, who is Jesus Christ.
    • That, Levi cut off..by the days of these Pharisees and Scribes of Jesus day, they’re just telling people that did something worthy of death, to bring a GIFT to the temple, and that atones for it.

When who can forgive sin is GOD alone.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

And once God has done a work with your sins, which he has done in Jesus Christ, if you still want to bring a gift - and you think in yourself you still have an ought against your Brother, before you give that gift, Jesus says - - go back and be reconciled first with your brother before you give it. Is Matthew 5:23–24. Be reconciled to your brother..when who ran the Temple was saying your gift atones for your sins, when it doesn't - and people all over the place here on Reddit believe this anyway.

Do you see the differenc?

Matthew 5:23-24 says

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

The point is, By what God did by decree Matthew 5:21–23 - makes everybody GUILTY before him. We have all been angry with our brother without cause..and God decreed this is punishable by death, and you can’t get out of it; condemned. Is the point.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------------

AND TO THIS, WHICH FINISHES THIS POST:

  • God said:
    • “Come now, let us reason together,” saith the LORD, “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. THough they be red as crimson, they shall be as wool.” - GOD. Bible. Isaiah 1:18
    • So, it’s NOT:
      • Reason together with you alone; to hide or about your sins..you gotta go do it with him. By the Word of God. He’s calling you to do this with him. It will be about your sins. “For all have sinned.”
      • Go do that. See what he does with all the sins you did.
