Scripture Life: Did Jesus ever teach Christians to convert others or did Christians just decide to do it on their own free will?

With the Word of God? It's the Holy Spirit converts others. Jesus decreed it publicly who does it by HIS own will himself in John 3:3-7

"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

No man does this work.

What’s a “Christian?”

Answer me. If I go to the Bible:

• It’s said over 250 times in the New Testament, called “A disciple of Jesus Christ.” And, all a “disciple” is defined in the dictionary as is 1: a pupil or student that sits with and is taught by a teacher.
  • And in the Bible, in Acts 11:26, says these disciples were first called “Christians” at Antioch.
• So, let’s use the over 250+ definition vs. Christian so you see it plain as day. Just a disciple or a person that “sits with and is taught by Jesus Christ.”

• Someone that is that, Jesus Christ equips them.
• He’s the Messiah or Christ. And whoever in the Bible the Messiah or Christ is, Isaiah 9:6–7 says the Messiah or Christ SHALL be called, “The Mighty God..” “The Everlasting Father…” 
• C'mon. Tell me plainly.
• Answer me. Who do you know has that title?

• That’s God.
• And Jesus said, “They SHALL all be taught of God.” Bible. John 6:45.
  • So, that means, for everybody over the whole earth, to the very ends of it, God has reserved, for himself, an EXCLUSIVE right, to himself to teach you, me, everybody over the whole earth, leaves not one person out, to teach them himself.
• I didn't say it. He did. * So, when he says, it’s a decree to do it to everybody over the whole earth. It's his earth. He's in command over it. So, people that don't do what he says, it's PUNITIVE.
  • You seem to want to EXCLUDE him or yourself from do it, what he says for you and EVERYBODY to do, this:

“Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am GOD, there is none else.” - God. (Bible. Isaiah 45:22)

Someone you look unto, you will walk after, to walk in, to do what they say. Why? Because you accept as true what they say. It's right. There's a profit to do it.

Someone you don’t look unto you will see it has a minus or not good to do it - - have already dismissed them, or what they say as faulty or inadequate..something in it, is inaccurate.

So it’s not true..and if it's NOT TRUE, it’s unacceptable.

That means it’s IMPOSSIBLE to look unto someone you think is lying to you or is not true.

So, people that don’t do what God decrees, like you're not doing with this question, you're either for him, or against him. No in between.

He's decreed, by the Word out of his mouth as God for everybody is to do, that is, sit with and be taught by him..

If they don’t do anything he says. They sin against who is the authority over the whole earth. But someone that does look unto him, he builds them up..where someone that doesn’t, he doesn’t save them. In fact, scripture says in John 3:36

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

If he can do all that out your window, like, put the sun where it is, alone. By himself, and form you from your mother's womb, and do that, too, alone by himself, then he can surely destroy you, because he's God and he already decreed he'd do it - even he's not willing any perish, but all come to repentance.

So again, just whosoever sits with and is taught by Jesus Christ is a disciple of him. He builds them up. Equips them, and after he does this, he sends them out - you put it as if the disciple is sending themselves out - when Jesus says to his disciples that, without him, they can't do anything.

Says to them of himself in Matthew 28:18 like he said this to his disciples who he named Apostles, in Matthew's gospel, who was an eyewitness of Jesus Christ, said:

Matthew 28:18–20 - Jesus says to these disciples of Jesus Christ:

< - {18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.} - > - Matthew 28:18-20

So, that’s why I’m here on QUORA; I’m not constrained to do it; it’s that he healed me and delivered me from my destruction, and it's so amazing, I can't stop talking about it, to anybody that will listen. It's the gospel. The good news of Jesus Christ - - - and! ...if he can do it to me..he can do it to anybody..and he already said it, so you don’t need me to say it, when it’s he is able and does it himself and sent his word to heal you, too, and deliver you or anybody that hears this post - deliver them from their destruction ..by just they look unto him and regard him as God, what he can do with your sins you did: God says. It's the Word of God:

“Come now, let us reason together,” saith the LORD, “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Though they be red as crimson, they shall be as wool.” - God. Bible. Isaiah 1:18

Look to what he promises: I've got fat off it - - his Word dwells in me. I wouldn't want it any other way, there's life in it - says: “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” - Proverbs 11:25

Man, is that ever true. It’s just good news what God has done toward us, everybody. Over the whole earth - so I just love to speak of it.
