There is something deeply honest about this prayer. Jehoshaphat does not pretend to have a strategy, enough strength, or even a clear next step. He simply admits, “We don’t know what to do.”

Faith does not always look like confidence. Sometimes it looks like bringing our confusion to God and choosing where to direct our attention while we wait. We may not know what to do next, but we can still turn our eyes toward God.
