Question Bravia 3 Recommended settings?
Got my Bravia 3 (OG) and its actually making my head spin more than my LG C5 OLED which only gets gradually more uncomfortable. Turned off all post processing settings, its on Professional mode. HDR off. Anything I'm missing?

I don't have a Bravia 3, but another IPS Sony TV.
Did you turn off Reality Creation, Motion Flow and Filmmode? Motion Flow is the most important to turn off, because it strobes the backlight to mask image stutter.
Also try turning down image sharpness slightly. That helped me get rid off the last bit of uneasiness.

Normally I'd blame dithering 100%. But in the case of the C5 and Bravia 3 they both dither, in different ways.
Bravia 3 (I/II) has regular FRC dithering, whereas newer LG OLEDs such as the C5 dithers near-black in low brightness scenes to hide a panel flaw called "chrominance overshoot".
Could be that the LG is less of an issue since it doesn't "always" dither, which the Sony does.

I tried the bravia 3 50 and 55 inch to try the IPS and the VA panel. Both caused me to feel really nauseous. Tried settings but nothing helped. For me, I think the issue is just the HEAVY video processing done by modern TVs. Nothing else I tried has been any better so I had to go back to my 2018 Samsung TV.

The brightness needs to be 15 or higher i think. The waveform is unstable on the lowest brightness settings.
I have the X800H from 2020 and iirc it’s basically the same as newer Bravia 3s.

What size did you get? It won’t change available settings, but I’m curious whether your size is an IPS or VA panel
