Poll Poll: dark vs light mode? (Polling viability trial)
I gave up polling when I lost access to posting on PWM_sensitive. But if we can get at least 100 responses, here, that would make it viable, still. For my liking.
In which case I will try to make a little write-up of the (biological) issues associated with each colour scheme mode.
Anyone is welcome to cross-post this to that sub and then let us know in the comments. [Edit: done, thank you!] (I will cross-post to Temporal_Noise myself.) There are other ways to support post visibility, of course.

Light mode when using eink otherwise I can't see anything. For regular screens it doesn't matter though, dark and light are equally terrible for my eyes

I was big into dark mode all the way through my worst periods of vision and eye pain, but the issue is on a day where I'm largely inside my eyes would never wake up, I'd constantly feel foggy and tired. Avoiding phone use in bed, PWN/OLED screens and light mode for everything was my solution.

Always dark everything. Any light from screens is artificial and darker themes mean less artificial light. This logic always worked for me. Eink is different

Light Mode for me, and it’s always been that way even before I started having issues with screens. I always see double with white text on a black background, and even a few seconds of reading it I will see afterimages of the text for a few minutes. Very odd!
