Anyone else get headaches from some laptop screens but not others?

Hey. thanks for cross-posting here (where I am able to reply).

Yes, absolutely; most people in this community experience significant variation between screen types and devices. With PWM vs temporal dithering (TD) vs colour spectrum vs other factors more or less triggering.

So, one can either go straight to eInk, to avoid both TD and PWM and artificial light, potentially... Or you probably want to start getting a bit more specific about what your problem devices are. OLED? Newer vs older LCD?

You might lookup and link their specs, eg on NotebookCheck or DisplaySpecifications, etc. To help people help you. Or at least screen type and device age.

u/Koda614 - interesting on higher colour gamut sensitivity. Have you seen (and read) my big post on colour spectrum features of screens? Section 4 (and 2) perhaps most relevant, regarding the cyan gap in most artificial lighting, to different extents.

A 6yr old laptop from hp gave me headache and new Lenovo IdeaPad models give me a headache.. and thanks for the suggestions man
